The Zoom Mail Art Group is a small, respectful community of Mail Artists who enjoy using Zoom to round out our connection to each other. The group’s genesis was related to a controversial mail art issue. We soon found that teleconferencing added a new dimension to all our mail art practices. We meet monthly to share new projects, present techniques or historical perspectives, and to discuss issues relating to Mail Art. Our meetings prioritize group discussion, consensus and a cooperative, positive atmosphere. ZMAG meetings include an array of topics:
Conversation time with other mail artists
Share new projects or notable mail art received
Enjoy a presentation of an artist’s project, work, or workspace
Announce and discuss mail art calls
Share and discuss art skills
Discuss documenting our work and collections
Learn about mail art history
Hold memorial gatherings for mail artists who have “Returned to sender”
Beyond ZMAG meetings, we keep the group informed about ZMAG topics via email exchanges, and maintains a contact list of members’ snail and email addresses. Meeting agendas and related presentation materials are available here, as well as links to members’ mail art websites, and art pieces celebrating ZMAG.

We welcome guest speakers. Meetings average about 20 mail artists. Interested in attending a ZMAG meeting, giving a short presentation about a mail art topic, or have other questions about our group? Please contact The Sticker Dude, our meetings’ host.
